ACADEMA is a Slovenian software development company. The name of the company is an acronym for Advanced Computer Aided Design Engineering Manufacturing Agency.

In the early 90s, the company developed software for Civil Engineering, Mechanic of Structures and CNC Machining, but later on, in the mid of 90s, moved to Geographic Information Systems [1][2][3][4][5] and Geostatistics also. In the late of 90s, web services were developed, based on DHTML, ActiveX and Java. Software engineering background is based on: Modeling of Processes, Numerical Analysis, Optimization Methods and Geometric Modeling.

  • AVIATOR, tools and components to develop complex GIS applications
  • ACADEMA Application Server[6][7], J2EE Server + Model-driven architecture + Formal logic, with more than 200 modules, for Unix(Linux) or Microsoft Windows Platform (GeaBios GIS Public Service is running on that platform)
  • PCBCAD, statical analysis of pre-stressed concrete bridges
DHTML and ActiveX/OpenGL web application (The look as it was in the year 1999)
