Personal Geodatabase is a type of geodatabase that uses Microsoft Access database system[1]. It can store, manage and query spatial and nonspatial data[2]. This type of geodatabase varies from an ArcSDE geodatabase which controls the single sign-on access feature. It only allows one user at a time to edit the data[2]. Personal geodatabases are normally smaller and intended for only a few users[1]. They have a maximum size of 2GB[2].
