Geocaching is a location-based "treasure-finding" game played with a GPS or other navigational device, such as a smart phone. The game involves searching for a hidden container, or "cache", whose geographic coordinates are known. The cache typically contains a log book and objects of little value, which are often exchanged by subsequent players for other items of similar value.
